Meet Hayley

I’m running for Fayetteville City Council because I love this city. I’ve lived here for 17 years, I’m raising my family here, and I care deeply about the people who make this community what it is.

Through my work in the nonprofit space, and especially in poverty reduction, I’ve seen firsthand how local policy can help or hinder families who are working hard to build a better life. We all want the same basic things: food on the table, a safe place to sleep, good schools for our kids, and the opportunity to live healthy, meaningful lives.

My husband Taylor and I are grateful that our kids attend Fayetteville Public Schools—it’s been an incredible experience for our family. I’m committed to helping keep our schools strong, inclusive, and equitable for every family.

I believe local government works best when everyone feels invited to the table. My values—authenticity, accessibility, and integrity—guide how I show up for my community. As your representative, I’ll work to make city government more approachable and responsive for Ward 3.

Belonging, community, and relationships are at the core of my personal and professional life. Through my time at Circles NWA, I’ve seen that when people have strong relationships and a sense of belonging, it sparks hope, and that hope is what helps people move from surviving to thriving. That’s the kind of Fayetteville I want to help strengthen.

I also hold a deep commitment to excellence, quality, and competence. I believe we shouldn’t settle for “good enough” when it comes to our city. We should keep learning, listening, and innovating to build a future that works for both our people and our planet.

If elected, I look forward to collaborating with fellow council members, the mayor, city staff, local businesses, the University of Arkansas, and residents across Ward 3. No one has all the answers, but I believe that together, with openness, humility, and shared purpose, we can make smart, people-first decisions that help Fayetteville thrive.

"My focus is simple: affordable housing, better transportation, and sustainable growth that works for all of us."
